Assignment 6.4 – Traditional Media preparation for 7.0

6.4.1 Using watercolor on mixed media or watercolor paper, paint a wash. (Using a spray bottle to lightly dampen the paper prior to painting will help spread the paint more easily.)
4.4.2 Using India Ink or a Sharpie on mixed media paper, paint/draw a bare tree.
6.4.3 Scan the images at 300 dpi.
6.4.4 Copy the tree image, paste onto watercolor image, use “multiply” as the layer mode.

Utilizing the techniques gained from weeks 3 and 4, create a Flower Tree similar to this inspiration piece by by mixed media artist, Sascalia.
• You may work at 8.5″ x 11″ (portrait), 11″ x 8.5″ (landscape), 8.5″ x 8.5″ (square) – 300 dpi
or 16″ x 20″ (portrait), 20″ x 16″ (landscape), 16″ x 16″ (square) – 300 dpi
